Ronnie and Monique had their wedding at Vista West Ranch on August 26, 2017. If you’ll remember, that date was the day that Hurricane Harvey came to Texas. If you are from these parts, it’s a day we will never forget. So many lost it all. So many are still trying to put their lives and homes back together. Without making this a post about the devastation that was Hurricane Harvey, we will celebrate these two and their wedding. With the above in mind, the day was approached with a lot of reservation and stress, just worried about guest being able to make it out to the wedding. To be honest about half an hour before the ceremony start time, I worried if there were going to be more than 20 guests. It was looking pretty bad for a hot minute. With an inclination that guests were just running late due to the rain and water on the roads, the ceremony was pushed back for a little bit. Much to my happy surprise, slowly the venue turned into a full house. whew!! Needless to say, the original plan was to have an outdoor ceremony. After the amazing work by Petal Pushers and the staff at Vista West, I can’t imagine it even not being an indoor event. The uplighting, the floral, the table decorations were all a perfect 10 without a single detail missed. Vista West Ranch was looking her best. Monique was in great spirits, despite the stress. She handled every curveball with grace. Her amazing wedding dress was a spectacle all on it’s own. Knowing Monique, I would expect nothing less. After the wedding ceremony we skipped the bride and groom and all outdoor photos knowing we would do a make up session (stay tuned for that bad boy!) As the rain and winds howled against the barn, these two danced the night away with the best of friends and family. Driving home in that crazy hurricane is a blog post all on it’s own, but for another time 🙂
